MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Ferdinando "Frank" Damiano, of Mount Vernon, died on Tuesday, July 14. He was 86.
Damiano was born in Guardia Lombardi, Italy, on Jan. 7, 1929, to Agostino and Marianna Damiano.
He emigrated to the United States in 1966, and was a self-employed landscape gardener in the Westchester area until retiring in 1995.
Damiano is survived by his wife Agnesa, son, Aldo, and his wife, Susana, daughter Anna DiLeo and her husband Agostino, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his sister Pierina Sica.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, at 584 Gramatan Ave. in Mount Vernon, from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 11 a.m.
Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
